Ariadne sleeps on the island of Naxos
In the house without curtains
His fingers caught slightly in the window
As he says goodbye
A fearful cat sits on the chair
In the windows float the eyes of dead butterflies
Yellow eyes
In a chair sits Ariadne
Asleep
Her eyes open slightly once in her dreams
To let the tears out
Just one tear
For each man
Her ball of thread wrapped around each chair leg
Tying her to the kitchen
Her eyes sparkling
in the dim light
That at midnight are tossed into the night sky
A constellation of loss hope dreams
